What Auto-schedule uses
Your schoolwork
- • Deadlines
- • Priority
- • Remaining time
- • Exams and study time
Your week
- • Classes
- • Activities
- • Personal events
- • Existing commitments
Your preferences
- • Availability
- • Focus-block settings
- • Transition time
- • Planning style
Youcalyptus combines these to build a schedule that fits your actual week.
Choose how far ahead you want to work
Planning style changes when safe work is scheduled. It does not change deadlines or make impossible work fit.
Lighter
Preserve more free time
Defers safe work when possible so more near-term availability remains open.
Balanced
Make steady progress
A middle ground between preserving open time and bringing future work forward.
Get Ahead
Finish future work earlier
Uses more available capacity to bring safe future work forward.
The work doesn’t change. The timing does.
A preference, not a guarantee
What affects your schedule
Auto-schedule responds to the information in your planner. It is not choosing randomly.
Why Thursday?
The assignment is due Friday. Wednesday’s available time is blocked by class and practice, while Thursday has a permitted one-hour opening. The calendar can show visible facts like these without pretending every placement has one single cause.
Deadline, priority, and remaining time
Deadlines tell Youcalyptus what cannot wait. Priority tells it what matters more. Remaining time tells it how much work is left.
Deadline
Use the real date and time. Exam study must finish before the exam begins.
Priority
Use it for importance, not just urgency. Priority does not override an immediate deadline.
Remaining time
How much work is still needed for the current schedule. Estimated time is what you expected overall.
The exam is fixed. Your study blocks are flexible.
Give Youcalyptus the real test time
Choose your personal study-time requirement. Study can be split into useful sessions, depending on availability, but no prep is placed after the exam starts.
Shared test, personal study plan
A Shared Class may supply the test date. Each student chooses personal study time and keeps their study schedule private.
When study cannot fit
A scheduling issue shows a real constraint
It means required work could not fit inside the usable time before its deadline or exam cutoff.
30 minutes could not fit before Friday at 3:00 PM.
Blank-looking gaps may be outside your availability, too short after transitions, or already reserved by a commitment.
Later does not mean late. A scheduling issue appears when required work truly cannot fit in time—not merely because safe work was placed later.
Update remaining time if it is inaccurate
Adjust availability only if you are genuinely free
Change flexible commitments when appropriate
Plan the rest manually if the week is truly full
You update the work. Youcalyptus updates the plan.

Enter work left
Future plan adjusts
The work is done.
Work remains on the same task. You enter the new total remaining time; Youcalyptus replaces—not adds to—the previous amount.
What happens next
Adaptive Duration improves future expectations
Need More Time changes what is left now. Adaptive Duration learns from completed work to improve what Youcalyptus expects next time.

Future prediction
Predicted time
Based on your recent work, this may take about 50 minutes.
The prediction is personal, neutral, and editable. Your original estimate remains visible.
Finishing early gives time back to you
Freed Time is an optional opening created when a focus session finishes earlier than planned.
Freed Time
The newly open window belongs to you. It does not automatically become more schoolwork.
Work Ahead
Choose it to pull safe future work into that specific opening. This is different from Get Ahead, which is your broader scheduling style.
Finishing early gives time back to you. Work Ahead lets you choose to use that opportunity for future work.
